I need to reinstall xp on my puter. I had xp but lost it when my hard drive went totally corrupt. Problem is I lost the Key# for the disk. What can I do? I can!t copy from old hard drive because the copy may be corrupt. Do I have any choices, or do I have to buy another copy from Bill?

With regedit go to...
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version
and you will see your product key, write it down and keep it safe.

Do a search on Hotbot.com for "product code key finder". You will find several links to some very handy software.
