reinstall winxp pro left me w/ missing device drivers

Specs: Windows xp pro
did reinstallaton win xp pro on Dell Dimension Inspiron 5100.

Service Tag JL07J81

original system corrupted, so that was my only choice. could not reach any
screen, even F8.

installation went well, but in setting up internet connection, the following devices are not installed.

Ethernet Controller
SM Bus controller
PCI device
Video controller
cideo controller (vga compatible)

Dell driver disc does not have any of above. Dell no help in determing where and which driver to download,

Go here and click on the "Drivers and Downloads" tab.

September 5, 2012 at 10:41:28 I see you are missing the driver to connect to the Internet so if you go to dpr and burn the disk on a computer that can connect you will get your drivers.

Once you get it to connect you can always go back to Dell and get other drivers

My mistake, I typed the original tag wrong, leaving out one digit.


Be sure you download the drivers for the version of Windows you are currently using. The link takes you to the drivers for the version that originally came on the computer.

There is a link on that page to view drivers for other supported versions of Windows.
