Wonder if anyone can help, please? Each time I run RegScrubXP in the auto ("RegScrub Finds Problems") mode it finds the same things, even though I 'fixed' them at the last scan and they appear to have remained fixed for the duration of that particular session. The problems displayed are: L[K] CSCSettings, L[K] H323TSP, L[K] SAPI Layer, U[K] Typed URLs, and U[K] WindowsUpdate. The reason given in all cases is: 'No values or sub-keys for this key'. I would really like to know why these keep resurfacing each time I start up the computer, what they actually mean, if they are causing a malfunction anywhere and finally, how do I permanently sort out the problem. Hope all this isn't too much to ask and that one of you knowledgable folk will be kind enough to help. Grateful thanks - Peter.

Each time I run RegScrubXP in the auto ... In spite of the problems you described, why do you kept using it? While any Registry cleaner is a powerful tool, it is not for everybody.

I agree with XpUSer. Be extremely careful when using a registry cleaner particularly if you don't have a clue what it's finding. Problems may not show up immediately but at some later date after deletion of certain 'keys' that may affect some 'services'.
I've found the safest cleaner/s to use are: Ccleaner and RegSeeker.
Lessons learnt the hard way are not easily forgotten.
