Registry message on Adobe CS5

Adobe Illustrator cs5 software
August 26, 2010 at 12:40:06
Specs: Windows XP
When I click on Adobe Illustrator CS5 to start the program I get an error message:

Adobe Illustrator has detected a problem in the windows registry which needs to be corrected to work properly. Would you like Illustrator to correct the problem now?"

After doing the logical thing and prompting Illustrator to fix the problem itself it opens but the message will again appear next time I open the program.

I want to get rid of the error message all together.

Any help would be great!

Make sure, all Adobe software is closed and not running.

Navigate to "\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Adobe\Illustrator.
Delete the contents of the folder.

Start Adobe Illustrator.

The original poster should always write the last response !!!
Let us know, if the problem is solved !!!

Bensays - here is for you. It worked for me.

Vista Users
Go to Windows Logo (left bottom screen)
Click on AI logo (in my case AI CS5)
Right click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"
AI will open up, close it and re-open - the iritating message is not there anymore.
This happen to me when I removed Adobe Photo Shop Software on my laptop.

This fixed mine issue number 1. However, after it opens, it hangs in there for about 5 seconds then closes itself. Anyone there?
