Comment:

I have a laboratory testing software named Empower. software compan's technical person installed this software on my system and he did not give me any licence/key no. for future use. Now I want to do format and reinstall my windows system. But there is a problem about licence/key information that software need to enter at the time of intallation.
Can I get that no. in my Windows registry or somewhere while my windows still running now.

Not sure if we can help with this sort of thing but here goes, you can download a piece of software called SIW and it will show you the license keys for all install apps.

I wouldn't rely on SIW extracting the software key. Generally it will only extract Microsoft key codes where it knows where to find them. For example I have WordPerfect on my computer but SIW cant find the license key for that.

Third party software is likely to be stored almost anywhere in the registry and there is a very good chance it is encrypted.

I would contact the software vendors and explain the situation to them. they should provide you with the necessary keys.

If this is a legitimate copy call the vendor or company for key. Then I always use installrite and burn to CD for any install of an application
