I'm getting the error message below and I was thinking maybe I could fix it if I could get the Win Recovery Console to come up, but I can't. Anyone know how I can get the Recovery Console to come up, with and without a recovery dics? Thanks...

Stop: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or it's log or alternative
It is corupt, absent, or not writeable

The Windows XP installation CD should provide you access to the recovery console. If not, I believe you can also create three bootable floppies that will give you the same option.
