I had some troubles with adware a few weeks ago and have since installed programs to eliminate them from my computer. However, the past couple weeks when I start my computer I get an error that windows can't find " " in the registry. I think I would have been able to fix it except I have no idea what those symbols are. I am guessing the error is the result of the removal of one of the adware programs, but that is only a guess. Any help would be great! Thanks

The Registry considers that a program is still installed and it cannot find a file it needs to load at startup. Start MSCONFIG and on the Startup tab check to see if there is info (startup command) that relates to the error you are getting. If so, it would show the path in the Registry, most likely in the RUN key, where the startup string is located which you can delete.

If you can identify which program the error relates to then I would suggest to you that reinstalling that program, then uninstalled it through Add/Remove may possibly get rid of that error message.
