Where's the PC information reside in the registry? I am trying to find out the type/model of the computer under my registry, like how you go to Start >> Programs >> Accessorries >> Systems tools >> System Information. I want to be able to locate those information under the registry? Thanks (Need the hive directory)

Hello Death_Knight,

You can find most of the information listed in "System Information" in the section of the registry following:

Browse through the sub-folders and you'll see some of the information. I would advise you not to edit any of that information though. Other bits of information listed in "System Information" are scattered throughout the registry and some might just have been generated through calculation ( such as used space and available space ).

It's always nice to have some feed back after things are fixed =)

Hi, I actually went thru that hive of folders before posting and it doesn't have much. Here's a list of stuff I am actually looking for to find under regedit,

OS name/version
System Model
System Type
CPU (that's under system in regedit)
Total Physical RAM
HD size
