Refresh rate problems

I have a very disturbing problem that only started to occurred when switch Win XP.

Every time i play a game the refresh rate drops significantly to 60hz at the resolution 1024*768. however when i work on the desktop it is 100hz.
how can fix this very annoying problem?

my graphic card Geforce 2 pro - Hercules
and monitor is LG 17' 795FT

Alright, problem solved.

sorry for bothering you i just had look a little bit more.

if anyone having the same problem he should download a program called NVRefreshTool
from here:

it fixed my problem (:
