Hi, ive looked around on this website and everything ive found on reformatting xp requires me to have the xp cd, ive lost the cd and cant find it, i upgraded to win xp pro from win xp home, when i had home, i could turn on my computer and press a button (F10 i think) a couple times and it would go into the reformat (program im guessing) but now that i have win xp, im having some problems and wouldlike to reformat that way, but ive tried a lot of the F buttons and none of them are doing that for me, could someone help me please

Without the CD, you are stuffed. There is no way to reinstall/repair Xp without it.

If you don't have the XP CD, then how do you plan to re-install the operating system once you have wiped the hard drive?
