Reformating Error

Okay i reformatted my computer but when the computer first boots up it says disk boot failure insert the system disk. So i put a windows 98 boot up disk inside of the computer and i tryed to delete the partition of the harddrive on fdisk. But it said Error Reading Fixed disk.

Try doing a COLD boot.
When formatting from a XP computer I had the same problem and found that shutting the computer off.. waiting 30 seconds, and then power on, everything went fine from a win98 start up or winme start up is better.

YOu also have to make sure that the bios is booting from the floopy FIRST of course.

A computer is a perfectionist's nightmare.
