Hi
There is a small financial chart (simple graph without color) on Yahoo that I have followed for some time.
Now, in place of the chart I just see a very small red X.
Right clicking on the X allows me to check properties which gives me the chart URL. Loading this into the address box of IE6 gives a larger version of the blank page with the small red X instead of the expected chart.
Right clicking on the blank chart also allow me to click Show Picture. Unfortunately, no picture is shown.
Note that Show Picture is also checked in Internet Options>Advanced.
This problem arose more or less when I loaded Windows OneCare a couple of weeks ago.
My computer is virus- and spyware-free and other than this operates very well.
Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to resolve it?
Thanks
Paul

Hi,
While you are on yahoo, Tools at the top of page / Internet options / advanced / scroll down to show pictures and put a tick/check in it / apply. and then refresh the page, it should then show.Bob

Hi Bob
Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately, I've already done what you suggested (and tried it again after receiving your post) but it just doesn't work.
The problem is that I'm doin all the RIGHT things but getting the WRONG result.
What next?
Paul

Hi DJ3642
Thanks for your reply.
I plowed through the MS article you pointed me to (283807) and checked out ALL of their recommendations to get this problem resolved including a system restore.
But, no improvement!
Interestingly, when I right-click on the red X and look at Properties, no simple extension appears in the URL line. The URL given is http://ichart.finance.yahoo.com/t?s=USDEUR=X
So this doesn't say anythng about what type of Image it is.
In addition, The Type line in the Properties box says Not Available.
All of my other Internet images/pictures appear without any problems. For Foreveranuj, thanks for your assessment. Deaults are restored in IE6 and my WinXP is totally updated. I may have to try the IE repair although I have never used IEFix before. Any pointers you can give me?
Paul
