Hi All Need some help on my red screen.

Problem:
1)Screen Appears Red instead of black.
2)Upon power on, normally it would be black, but it is red
3) Windows XP startup page is also red instead of black
4) When i'm in windows, everything appears super bright and more reddish. Seems as if black cannot be displayed

Scenario:
For many days, my screen would show, no input video after power on.
Today, i decided to detach and re-insert my graphic card - NVIDIA FX 5500. After tugging quite a bit, i manage to get it out of the slot and re-insert it back.
Now, it works and is able to detect video, however, everything is red and my computer cannot detect black anymore.

Need help man. Anyway encounter such issue before?. Please do some advice. THanks. =]

Have you tried another monitor? If so, and the behavior repeats, I would say the video card is bad and needs to be replaced.

Life's more painless for the brainless.

If you tugged hard you may hve broken the card. There may have been a locking mechanism at the back end of the card.

Try a different monitor then. Or try your monitor on a different computer.
