hey, I recently deleted the recycle bin incon from the desktop cos I didn't like it, but now I need to empty the recycle bin cos I am running out of space. Is there a way to empty it through the console? because I don't have any 3rd party software that would do that.
Thanks

How'd you delete it from the desktop? You can probably use TweakUI to get it back. Or you can run regedit and manually add the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

That IS strange. In mine, the recycle bin is the third icon down from the tope, right after Desktop and My Network Places.

If you still can't find it, try a search with Windows Explorer.

Here's yet another way:
Run cleanmgr.exe (or find the Disk Cleanup thing in the Start Menu / Accessories)
It gives you an option of emptying recycle bin files.
