i have two hard drivs. 1 is 20Gb and the other is 45Gb and i have windows XP on the c: (20 GB HD) and all the other stuff on the other drive d: (45 GB). i was to go and reinstall the windows xp and it asked me to format the drive C: so i said ok but the problem was that when i came back in the room it started to format the d: drive aswell it was up on 7% when i cancelled it. but i can't find any information on it. What can i do PLEASE help Me.
What a way to start the christmas hollieday.....

it looks like you have got a major problem on your hands you are going to have to try and salvage the data that is still on your hard drive with either lost and found or easy recovery
although you will probably have to re-install the o/s
if you have an o/s on your 20g drive you should be ok but try not to write to your partially formatted drive with anything until you have had a chance to run either of these apps, easy recovery pro is a windows based program where as lost and found is a dos based program
if it were me doing it (and yes i have made a similar fatal error) i would try easy recovery pro
you will find it here http://kickme.to/fosi
but remember download it to your 20 gigg drive and run everything from there
you will only be able to salvage as much of this drive as the same amount of free space that you have on your 20gigg drive
best of luck
if you want any more help email me
