I accidentally deleted a file from a Garmin 670 GPS Unit and was wondering if it was possible to use some sort of software to recover it. I tried using R-Studio but it failed at 600 megs (the file is 1.3gig). The error i got was FAT chain closed by end of file entry or something like that.

The GPS connects through a USB just like a external HDD would (and its a FAT HDD whatever that is) What would be the best software to use to recover it?

I could send it in and get it fixed but that would take a week and I need it before then so I was hoping I could just recover it.

Any help is appreciated

What kind of file did you delete? Can you download it from the Garmin website?

Thanks again Aegis, the pc inspector worked. At first I didn't think it was going to work because the program was saying it was not responding but I just let it sit for a couple hours and it completed without ever showing a status bar lol.
