Recover encrypted partition

My disks are encrypted with DriveCrypt PP, and while trying to reinstall Windows on my system disk (which is divided into two partitions) the Windows installation program insisted on formatting both partitions. It didn't recognize the file system on the other partition which seems natural considering the encryption. Now, this isn't what I wanted (especially since all my backups were on the other partition) and I've been trying to get the data back. Tried a lot of recovery software but without any good results. GetDataBack appears to find thousands of files while scanning, but then only shows two recovered NTFS partitions which are both empty except for the usual System Volume Information crap. Now my question is, does anyone know of a way to get my old encrypted partition back? Appreciate any input.

Take a look here. If GetDataBack doesn't work this may be a last hope. GRC claims to recover from a lower data level than other software. I have not used it. Cost is $90.--http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm

Someone posted a thread about a month ago and thought this company did a good job. Be careful how you go so as to not make it worse.
