hi I installed internet security 2005 from a CD that was coming with my Intel Motherboard. after some times .. the program did not work but it still runs virus scan for long time whenever I try to open microsoft word or excell files. While I try to open one of my excell files norton deleted my file. please tell me how can I recover my file. Internet security 2005 doesn't work till now at all even after reinstalling it

Norton didn't, you did!
You can try Norton Protected Recycle Bin and use the UnErase Wizard to recover the "lost" file - oh! forgot you already uninstalled and reinstalled it.
Next step is to try a recovery tool like GetDataBack from Runtime.

LOL hell no I have nothing to do with that pricey service provider.
The poster said "pls reply me ASAP." I suggested using the service provider if he is impatient & cannot for someone like Sabertooth who know recognized the problem for what it is.
If I work for them I will be busy posting on their paid service board :-)

thanks for your help..
I don't live in USA thus I prefer to get the help from this web site.
I can't see Norton Protected Recycle Bin in desk top as it is mention in thier web site ? maybe there is no such recycle bin for Internet security 2005 eventhough I notice norton antivirus is encloded.
is there any manual way of geting my file back ? becuase I don't have GetDataBack from Runtime. I mean did norton store my file in certian folder ?

Finally I got my deleted file ...
I installed getDataBack from runtime and I was able to locate the deleted file which was originally microsoft excel file. but it looks that norton anti virus converted to temporary file as the extension of the file ends with .tmp >>> what I did is that I change the extension directly to .xls to convert the file back to excel. but when I opend the file only i found unkonw text ...
is there any other ways to convert this temporary file back to microsoft excel file .. with original information on it ?
