Trying to find a program for finding files after the hardrive has been reformatted. The hardrive itself is windows nt 3.51 . I would hook it up as a slave to my computer but have not found a program that will recover from multiple levels of formatting if there is one for that matter. Thanks in advance!

Your best bet is to send it to a company that specializes in Data Recovery.

Ontrack is very reputable. Their system is they evaluate the drive (for a price) and tell you if the data can be recovered. Then, if you choose to go that route, they'll recover what they can, charging accordingly.

I'm just wondering (as will others) why you don't have backup of the data that was on the drive.

By multiple levels ... do you imply a drive that has been written zeroes to, or one that's been formatted - say for example five times?

You will be wasting your money if you send it to a company that specializes in Data Recovery. The multiple levels of formatting have reduced your chance of any data recovery to literally zero.

Zero assumption Recovery is worth a try.

The demo is limited
It will only recover'up to' four folders per run
But you can make multiple runs

Others than can sometimes recovery files after a format.
