Record Call Information?

I guess this part of the forum is a good place to ask. I have a small business that needs to have their phone calls monitored. Not the actual conversation for legality purposes just the call information, number(incoming or outgoing) and length, I believe that is legal. They want to make sure that employees are not on personal phone calls all day because they only have one phone line. I saw a program called Modem Spy but that seems like it will record the whole conversation. I don't have the modem yet to test it but I am looking for some suggestions.

Doesn't the phone company already have this type of info?

Yes, most phone companies will give you an itemised bill if you ask them for it. Thats how they work out how much money to bill you for.

That is your best bet. Another option is to get a VOIP phone system. It may even save you money plus they can get more than one line possibly for a similar price.

At home I use Comcast Digital phone service and all the info you asked about is online for my viewing pleasure.
I would imagine they have the same thing for businesses.
(Of course, assuming Comcast or a similar broadband company is available in your area.)
