Reconfigure vid card every startup

My computer forgets my vid card, so whenever it restarts i have to let it recognize the vid card over and over. any help?

Check your video card driver and the monitor resolution.
You should not use the CD-ROM from the retail box, but instead navigate to the manuf web site and downlaod the latest and greatest, but be certain it is EXACTLY the correct one, as many may be listed.
