Working in microsoft excel 2000. When i am working in excel I go in to the file menu and select one of the recently used documents. I use this for a shortcut.

When I come out of excel and go back I lose my recently used files.
What i have done so far. Tools > options > general There is something call "recently used file list" the tick box is ticked and is set to 9.
