CPU/Ram: amd athlon xp 1600 / 256m

please help me! when i turn my pc on it is fine, but when it gets to the welcome screen it reboots before i get a chance to log in. it does the same in safe mode! what can i do....im currently on my pocket pc. please help! thanks alot. josh.

Run the recovery console from the xp cd.

I've had bad ram cause this on a pc I was working on. I don't know if it will help but maybe try removing a stick of ram.
