When I try to restart XP, It instead shuts down. Reinfinity, This could be a trojan or virus that is using USER32.DLL or USER32.exe. Run your virus scanner and make sure there is nothing in there. Also, check Windows Update in case you are missing a patch or two. The other possibility could be the blaster worm, although I assume you are patched for that. In any case, scan for viruses and check WInUpdate...;o) Safe Computing...;o)
