had to reformat my drive, installed real jukebox 2 again, and now, when I close the programme, the computer crashes with the error message "bad pool caller". never happened before.
also, real jukebox 2 deletes some system sounds, e.g., the sound for "start navigation", it puts it back when one closes the application, but since it crashes all the time now, it of course doesn't put it back, so that I have to do this manually.somebody got a solution for these problems (esp. an explanation for the crash?

Hi there - 3 weeks ago I purchased a new HP Pavilion zt1172 laptop. HP had preloaded Real Jukebox - I liked it so purchased the upgrade. Soon after install I got the dreaded blue screen - PC World exchanged the laptop and just yesterday, after only a week with new machine I downloaded Plus again. Got a missing file error afterwards whilst on Internet Explorer and have had to reinstall all recovery disks and lose all my settings & software installs again. Reading your post has made me connect the two things. Really fed up with XP at the moment. Don't know what caused both crashes but have removed Jukebox entirely now just in case.....

I think I shall remove it either. I uninstalled and reinstalled both real player 8 plus and real jukebox 2 and now jukebox doesn't crash any longer. but it still removes system sounds and changes file associations (mp3, wav...). I told this stupid programme NOT to change file associations, but it still changes them from time to time. e.g, if you start it directly, it normally does not change associations, but if one rightclicks on a drive with audio cd and says "play with jukebox" -BOOM! it changes all associations again. besides, this programme is spyware and adware. one would believe they would remove this, since it's a full version, for which they get their money anyway, but no, it's still full of crap. it's really like a virus - destroys everything. also real player 8 plus contains spyware (that's why both programmes are so unwilling to switch the start centre off - Real wants to monitor us!)
