I am currently running Windows XP Pro. I just purchased an RCA Kazoo USB mp3 player.
I cannot get it working properly. I'm sure it is the driver causing the problem. I need a driver for it that will work properly with XP. Can someone please help??
Thanks!

I have the same problem. I went to the RCA website and they referred users to the music match web site however I did not like the music match software. I found it to be cumbersome. I would like to be able to use Windows media player in Win XP

According to RCA, an XP driver for the Kazoo will not be available now or in the future. After searching and searching I finally broke down and called RCA. The rep. told me that they do not intend on creating an XP driver. I wanted to return the Kazoo after hearing this but I kept it for past the return date.

I was also advised that no xp driver is being developed. It took me over 1 mth to find a store that still had the 64mb player available and after all that I still can't upgrade to XP because my player becomes useless. I find it somewhat dishonnest that no one advised me of this limitation and it isnt stated in any of the info I got with my player. These pplayers were selling like hotcakes during the holidays so I can just imagine how many people find themselves in the same situation. I have put my player up for sale and am looking into buying the smaller, sleeker samsung player which does work with xp.

This is a F**KING outrage I have a 64MB RCA K@ZOO Player and I planned to upgrade to Windpows XP but now I am real mad!
How stupid of them!

They are truly dumb. The plug in available at http://www.lyrazone.com/downloads.htm does not work I spent hours tryong to get it to work. Now I am just pissed.Rca sucks I should have known better, I will try to return it but I doubt I will be able to in its opened condition. I don't know why they will not make a driver. I am antimicrosoft as the rest but come on how many sales they are they going to lose for a 16K program???

I got my RCA kazoo to work on XP with musicmatch Jukebox 7
This is what I did!
-IMPORTANT: first you have to make sure everything is uninstalled on your computer that is related to RCA kazoo. ie) USB drivers for windows 98/ME/2000, MM jukebox 6, etc...
-then download and install the MusicMatch jukebox 7.
-then in the options menu go to "add new features." This takes you to the musicmatch web site.
-click on the "portable mp3 players" and there you will find the USB driver for XP
-install it and restart your computerThis worked for me. However, I have one problem. Half of the music I download onto my kazoo now skips. I don't know if its my actual mp3 player, the quality of the mp3's, my computer, or the new xp driver. When I had windows 98 it worked perfectly.
If someone can try there's with XP and tell me if it works perfectly that would be great.

I BOUGHT THIS KAZOO AT BEST BUY FOR MY SON'S BIRTHDAY AND CAN'T GET IT TO WORK WITH XP AND HE'S REMOVED THE PACKAGING.BEST BUY PRETENDED NOT TO KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THIS D-- PLAYER.LYING CHEATS-CAN WE SAY ERON.SOME ONE NEEDS TO STEP UP FOR THE CONSUMERS.

Response number 7, by al valente, worked perfectly, I battled with the player all afternoon. I found al's instructions and they worked perfectly. Be sure to uninstall all programs related to the player and then install the 7.0 basic version available on the musicmatch site. Al's instructions work. Thanks Al.

2.) Plug the usb cable into your computer and the software will automatically find the divice...
3.) Open 'MusicMatch' and click 'options' and 'add new feature' and on the MusicMatch WebSite there is an :::XP PLUGIN::: download and restart and it will Work...

Found our problem...
When your transfering music to your player set the bit rate at 96k you lose a bit of quality but no $hity skipping....

I got mine to work too, thanks to the guy at response #7, he is;nt lying, what he says works like a charm, and it is actually faster then it was on my ME program.

In response to number 9... Windows NT does not like USB ports... So Any mp3 player is useless. Hince the name Windows Not Tested
