Hi.
A friend of mine have a problem with the file Rasautou.exe.
It keeps dialing automatic to the internet and neither me or himself can stop it.
I remove it from the task list and in about 4 second i starts over again and tries to connect.
His internet phone bill costs the double now of what he used to pay.
I also tried to remove it from windows/system32 , but it keeps coming back when i restart the computer.
The registry setting i remove also comes back ?

Does anybody have a clue of what i can do to make it stop connecting to the internet.
The only way to stop it is to turn off the computer.

Please help us!

Thanks !!! :-)))

From all the information I can find on this, it usually turns out to be spyware. So as the article said, download some of the anti- spyware programs and run them to see if anything on your system is trying to connect.

Also, one article said that MSN Messenger can try to connect in the background even though you're not using it. Check and see what you settings are for MSN and disable the "auto connect" feature.

If you're not using MSN messenger and want to remove it completely, post back and I'll tell you how.

Yes, i thought so too, so i removed messenger completely from the services list and registry settings and everything, but it did not solve the problem.
I found a way to stop it, but it's not the right way, but it work.
I block the program "Rasautou.exe" on his firewall.
That stops it from connecting, but the problem is not fixed, it's just blocked from connecting.
If i remove from the list in the firewall, it keeps connecting again.
It's not possible to remove the file, but is it possible in safe mode ?

Do i need this file at all ?

Thanks !
