This is fairly easy to disable. Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove programs>MS Office. Click the 'Change' button. Select the 'Add or remove features' button and click Next. Expand the 'Office shared features' list. Now expand 'Alternative user input'. Click the dropdown menu next to 'Speech', then select 'Not unavailable'. Click the 'Update' button at the bottom of the dialog box and you are good to go.
If the Language Bar is visible on the desktop or your taskbar (assuming you do not need it), select 'Options>settings' on the language bar, then under 'preferences' at the bottom click 'language bar' and uncheck the box 'show the language bar.....'. This should do the trick. Regards, Rex
