Every so often, when using IE, another site would load instead of the one I directed it to. Often times, the site that I get redirected to is cnet.com, no matter where I get redirected from, almost always, it's to that site... I'm not really sure the explaination...

... the recent Windows Update for my IE, I thought it solved the problem, but it's re-occuring now... all help is welcomed.

This may be normal, i get direct there quite often to but if you want to make sure a Website is for real do this>>> when on a website to find out if it is a true website and not a spoof!>>>>> javascript:alert("The actual URL is:\t\t" + location.protocol + "//" + location.hostname + "/" + "\nThe address URL is:\t\t" + location.href + "\n" + "\nIf the server names do not match, this may be a spoof."); <<<<< Compare the actual URL with the URL in the Address bar. If they do not match, the Web site is likely misrepresenting itself. In this case, you may want to close Internet Explorer.

Yea, the site is the actual thing...

... but what is weird is I'd be in some sort of forums, even here, and it'd suddenly load cnet.com on me instead...

And there are times when the pictures on the site would not show, and when you refresh or show picture on it, it will show it was trying to retreive the files from cnet.com or something...

Sorry those directions may be confusing, i forgot to edit them, so just do this>> copy and paste this to your address bar and click go>>> javascript:alert("The actual URL is:\t\t" + location.protocol + "//" + location.hostname + "/" + "\nThe address URL is:\t\t" + location.href + "\n" + "\nIf <<< If the two Url's match then it is a true website

It didn't seem to work... it's still loading cnet.com at times, or another site... or loads blank pages.
