Hi, Like almost half of the programs I try to install on this fresh install of windows xp all error up saying they "cannot use the filename.CAB" Including iTunes and Office2007 and a few others. Also .net framework 3.5 wont install its the only update left and I even tried using the windows update client reset too with no luck. Kind of fustrating nothing works right on this laptop Im lucky this time windows installed with no errors!

If everything refers to it being installed from the cd/dvd drive, possibility the drive is the cause.

It says this could be due to a bad cd/dvd drive, network connection, or bad setup file.

I tried an external usb dvd got the same error.

I also tryed copying it to my dsktop using a thumb drive same error when I launch it or download to desktop wirelessly.
