Microsoft Windows server 2003 for small...

Specs: Windows XP
We are running small business server 2003. We have a strange problem that has happened 3 times over 2 years. One each occassion a number of recently modified folders with their subfolders get duplicated elsewhere on our server. The duplicated folders are themselves located within recently modified folders. The duplication is not complete, some files get left behind, though their containing folder gets duplicated. No one I have yet spoken to can provide any explanation or precedent. Help would be appreciated.

I know nothing about servers, but this may help.

I just googled to see if your description is the same as Microsoft. I think you are talking about replication.

I have noticed with Laptops that have Tap-to-click enabled on the Touch Pads can cause file moving or duplication.
ie. I would be moving my finger across the Touch Pad, to move mouse pointer, then the dialoge box pops up about moving files. I had to click 'Cancel'.
