Hi,

I have a AMDXP 2000+ which has 266FSB right?
Well anyways will my DDR333mhz be able to use the full 333MhZ? I ask this because it seems that it will only use 266 at a time becuse of the name 266FSB on the processor

Tahnks in advance!

what really matters is what your motherboard FSB is. You can use the 333 memory it will run at the speed the
mother board supports, get info on your particular mother board and see what it supports. You can also look in the bios to see if you know what you are doing...

I won't use an Amd chip so I can't say if your FSB is right or not. But your thinking is right. The front side bus sets the speed of the ram. So if your FSB is 266 the memory will not be using the full 333Mhz.

Hope this helps,
Sandman
