Hi guys,
i was just wondering if someone would be able to tell me how i can update the ram on my gateway without making it unbootable. the ram i already hav in there is samsung pc800-40 rdram and the ram i bought was samsung pc800-45... i bought it online and the 7 day return limit was up by the time i got the memory... is there any way i can change or update my bios so that i can get this pc800-45 memory to work on my pc?

From what I can determine if you don't plan on overclocking you can use both 40ns and 445ns RDRAM in some machins. The GATEWAY site say use only the 40ns speed. Try them, if the system boots up your OK, if not you've got a stick of 45ns for framing.
