Raid partition bump*

In the ealier response my question wasnt really answered...i may have misasked....i have 2 60 gig drives setup with RAID 0 and XP...its seen as 1 logical 120 gig drive....what i want to know is whether i can now section off that raided 120 gigs into say 3 40 gig sections using a windows based partitoniong program such as p magic

Yes, you can. I normally like to partition before the OS is installed, but PM will let you resize & add after the fact.

if this is the case then why cant u partition 2 60 gig drives into 4 30 gig partitions....raid 0 the top 30 on each disk and then raid+1 the bottom 30 in a flip flop fashion and have raid 0+1 with only 2 drives instead of 4?....ie if a drive fails each drive has its own info in the top 30 and the others drive top 30 in the bottom
