I got a new computer recently and just got a new graphics card today, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB, retail. Other system specs, P4 2.8C, 1GB Corsair PC4000(2*512), Asus P4P800-E DLX, and some other nice stuff that's not so relevant at this point. Problem is when I play games, I get some wierd stuff happening on the screen, just random flashes of different parts of the map will appear all over the place while I'm playing. I have DirectX 9.0b and I just downloaded the newest Catalyst driver (version 6.14.10.6458). I've had the computer for about 2 weeks and before today I was using a Radeon 7200 and it worked fine, except not as smooth as 9800, just to avoid confusion, I did upgrade the drivers just now. Anyone seen anything like this before? Specific games I tried were Call of Duty and Warcraft 3, haven't tried anything else yet but similar problem, so I think it may be a windows setting, or BIOS? Thanks for your help.

i was experiencing problems with a 9800XT card and to resolve it I upgraded to the latest BIOS and also fitted a more powerful power supply.

If at first you don't succeed, hide all knowledge you even tried.
