I need help! (DURRR). When I do a cold boot (booting up machine after a few hours of being off), 99% of the time The computer just goes slow. As in click on the start menu and it wont slide out for about a minute or two. Usually it goes away if i just restart the computer but it gets annoying and im afraid itll mess up the system. Anyway if I dont reboot when it behaves like this, after about 5 minute of slowness i get a blue screen. The blue screen tells me there was a problem with the driver 'ati2dvag' and '... device driver got stuck in an infinite loop'. Ive updated the drivers about 5 tmies already, trying both the ones that came with the CD and the ones on the ati.com website. Has anyone else had this problem? Or does anyone know whats going on? Like maybe a iwindows problem with the radeon 9700 or something?

Try reformating your computer.
It might be windows screwing you around, not your video card.

Mike, I'm in the process of having the same problem too! I just finished build a new com. Installed a brand new OEM XP PRO. With the 9700pro installed the drivers from the CD then BAMM! "The Blue Screen" Reformated the 2 HD running on raid 0. Did the same thing all over. Now I'm in the process of reformatting again for the 3rd time. Sucks! I wonder if the new ATI catalyst display drivers (version 02.3(7.76) would solve the problem!Hmmm! Anyway, anybody please help us! Thanks.
