I get the following error when trying to run quicktime C:\windows\system32\quicktime.qts is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation disk. I am not real computer literate... can someone help me get this to work?? I have tried to install numerous times and always get the same error. Even tried the standalone installer... still no luck. I just get that broken icon. If you know the answer, please email me directly at bhhaynes@hotmail.com

Well I use apple quicktime for windows version 5.02 and have no problems!
You want help, so uninstall the version you got, delete it's folder and registry keys, via start / run/ type in regedit and find links in registry.
Dont do regedit till you download the latest version. When you have downloaded it DO not delete the installer or the file which comes with it called QuickTimeInstallCache, just bang them in a folder on your desktop.
When you install it select custom install but then select all then scroll down and uncheck quick time for java box. (unless you got netscape 6.02 for windows xp and less operating systems already installed).
Install it.
(apple quick time 5.02)Then it should work fine. btw delete the file you said cayused an error if you see it in your systemfolder. (in dir C:\windows\system32\quicktime.qts)
Peace Lee totally knackered
