Hi all! I just bought a Logitech QuickCam Pro4000. When I try to install the drivers & software from the CD, I get the message "Error 1304; Error writing to file ../system32/atl71.dll or msxml4.dll " I didn't find any help on their site or elsewhere. I tried to create a file in the system32 folder but it says that I don't have permission to do so(!) ( I have the rights; Full control )... I downloaded the drivers/soft from Logitech site too. Just to try installing it without using the CDRom... Get the same message... Any idea ?? Thanks PS: Sorry for my english guys hehe! Doc

There seem to be any number of possible causes of this ranging from problems with too many .inf files in windows to problems with the windows installer sortware - I suggest you do,as I did, a google for "XP error 1304" and that will yeald a number of options for you to consider. Of course none of them may work for you but its a starting point at least.

Hi BearLysane, Thank you for your anwser & sorry for my delay... I found out that PrevX ( a soft I installed 2 weeks ago ) was givin me all those problems !! As soon as I uninstalled it, everything was back to normal! Thanks again for your message ! Doc
