Quick Launch bar does not show!!!!!!

I cant get the quick launch bar to display!!! Even when i click on the checkbox to show the quick launch bar in the taskbar properties nothing happens!!!! hELP!!!

Make sure you have this folder on your system drive %systemroot%\Documents and Settings\%user name%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\
Under this you have standard shortcuts. This is the way Quick Launch works.
