Specs: Windows XP
Ive recently tried to install windows xp onto my
pc and as far as i knew everything was
working fine, until i tried to install my printer. i
keep getting an error message regarding the
printers hardware. i went into control panel to
try and resolve the problem and noticed that i
have a number of yellow question marks next
some of the icons. i am unable to do anything
to try and fix this problem and im not sure
what could have caused it...any ideas? thanx

The yellow exclamation marks means you need the drivers for those devices. Did you machine come with a drivers disk. The disk would be labeled Drivers or chipset drivers. If not post back with you make and model #.

Upload a screenshot to show us what you mean.

If you are in any windows based program, just hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard ( or Ctrl + V ) and you have a full screenshot.
If you hold down the 'Alt' key with the Print Screen key, you will capture only the window that is on your screen, not the whole desk top.
This sends it to Clipboard, now you can Paste it into Paint ( go to Edit ) or any other Windows based graphics program.
Save as...
Save as type, select JPEG etc.

Fast uploads ( will upload multi files )

Did you follow the instructions in the manual to install the printer? Is this a usb printer? If it is usb, the installation of the printer starts usually without the printer's usb cable hooked up. Sometime during installation a message should appear telling you now to plug the usb cable in and turn the printer on. The rest of the install will continue from there.
