Does anybody know how to make shadows in a text written by Word Art(MS Word 2002) closer to the actual text? How can I do that?

If ur already using the 'closest' shadow, then one way might be to first make a grey graphic, then position an identical colour one over the top ??
Hope this helps

Sorry Keef, I don't get your point. In the Word Art gallery I'm using the second style (from the left) in the second row. It's the most formal style which I could find. I need to pull the shadow closer to the actual text. Is it at all possible to adjust the shadows in WordArt? By the way I didn't get your trick, can you explain it please?
Thank you
Positron

Don't think it's possible to change the shadow in a preset, but try this....
1) Use top-left icon in Word-Art 2) Select ur font/text, then 'format' the Word-Art and change to light grey with light grey lines (so it looks like the shadow) 3) Insert new Word-Art - same as above (same text/size etc), but select ur colour preference 4) Turn off snapping under 'Arrange' menu and position the coloured wordart over the shadow one
You should be able to get it just as u want.
Bit of a 'kludge', but I hope this helps.

Thanks Keef
Smart way of getting around it. Altough in the end I think, I better stick to the original style! Anyway thanks for teaching me something new.
