How do i stop this thing from starting up? I went to msconfig in the startup tab and theres nothing there. Should I just delete qttask.exe in \system32 folder? It seems that XP hides startup items in msconfig. Will Tweak Xp have a place to disable this? BTW qttask.exe is from quicktime.

Download a program called regcleaner, it is not made by microsoft. It allows you to delete files that are in the start up list. It also allows you to delete old program entries in the registry!!

It's probably hanging out in this reg key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You could look for this key, find the qttask.exe entry and remove it.
