PXE-M0F Boot Failure

OS: Windows XP Home Edition
CPU/Ram: 120GB / 1024MB RD Ram
Comment:

When I turn my computer on, it gets stuck with the error:
PXE-E53: no boot filename received
PXE-M0F: boot failure- system halted

please advise. . .thanks

2 things I've encountered. One, I would check the bios to make sure the boot sequence isn't just looking to the network to boot. Second thing I actually experienced was the motherboard went bad. It started with a similar if not exact error. Sometimes it would start up, sometimes get that error. Got more frequent until the system pooped out. New motherboard later, all was fine.
