Hi all,
I am looking for some server/client software to stream audio over the Internet. It does not need to feed multiple users, just a server (the remote) and a client(the studio) So far I have found Real Player's software for huge money and freeware game chat like Roger Wilco and pretty much nothing in between.
My community radio station needs to broadcast remotely over a broadband connection and they do have some money for software but Real Player is too high and RW is too low.
Any ideas will be entertained and possibly a free shirt as well!!

Be careful of the RIAA with streaming music, they'll want royalty payments on a regular basis...

As a non profit we have an open license with the RIAA but this would be voice only, not music.
For instance they have a town council meeting they want to do and also would like to do hoot night at the poetry coffee house.

I have see it and a few like it but they will only do MP3, WAV or other files. These would have to be either pre-recorded or encoded on the fly. I don't think that will work as this will be live. If someone knows better then please let me know, that is why I asked.
