My friend's computer has a virus or trojan and now he cant get on his internet. He tells me he gets a pop up saying hes been infected with PSW.x-Vir trojan. He has run a full scan with spy sweeper but the problem remains.
does anyone know anything about this virus and would burning him a copy of ad-aware or kaspersky solve the problem?

get hijackthis. and run a log and post it in the security forum. Adaware and spybot search and destroy are excellent programs, but certain trojans source are undetectable by either program.
