prolfile wont access the net

i havn't been here for a while but i am having trouble with a profile on my computer accessing AOL internet, i added another profile and the same thing occurs, i have tried other profiles and they are ok, i am running AOL 6.0 with windows xp, can anyone help plz

Firstly, make sure you are trying to use AOL from an Administrator account.
Secondly, upgrade your version of AOL. I'm not sure of version 6.0 is compatible with XP. I believe AOL 8.0 is now available.

Might try starting a new post and tell us how you connect to the internet (dialup, DSL, etc..) as well as what sort of problem you have exactly (error messages?)...

I eventually phoned up AOL and found out that it was a cache problem so they told me to delete the folder "cache" in my AOL 6.0 directory, also its my parents pc not mine and they want to keep 6.0, however on mine i have upgraded to 8.0 also on this machine it dials up on the limited account so if its a admin or not it doesn't matter, thanks anyway.
