programs w/o uninstall option

July 13, 2009 at 09:39:02
Specs: Windows XP Home, celeron 512mb (i think)
I am working on cleaning out my mother in laws computer, which has slowed down, considerably. I went into her Add/Remove programs list to start cleaning out the programs she adds that are unnecessary, and this time there are quite a few programs without the option to remove or uninstall. I am at work right now so I cannot get an exact list of those, but what is the best way to remove them?

Just looking for ideas?

OMG don't judge me!

The Program itself states uninstall program in the program menu bar have a look there if it is not in add and remove prgrammes it will be in where you load the program and there it will have a option to uninstall or goto my computer local disk c and select program files select the program and folder and select enter and in that folder will be the option to uninstall or repair the computer click on uninstall and do it that wat

Try this Freeware program. It's verry good at removing the ENTIRE program.

Be careful with it, it WILL UNinstall whatever you tell it too.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

none of the programs are listed anywhere else but in the XP Add or Remove programs box.
Some of their names are:
DocProc
Copy
CreativeProjects
CreativeProjectsTemplates
CueTour
HpSdpAppCoreApp
iTunes (it is not on this system)
Overland
PhotoGallery

Might be time for a clean install. Could just do a "repair" from xp cd and then delete files. The registry will be reset to oem.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
