Just started having weird problems on another machine. Programs are running really slow. We use Adobe Acrobat 6 Daily, and now all of a sudden, it just hangs when it starts. I'll double click a pdf, the Adobe screen will come up, then it will just hang there. The CPU % for Acrobat Stays at 50%. and the machine really boggs down. I have to "End Task". The weird thing is, I'll log in as Administrator, and everything works perfect. I was able to download and install the updates for Acrobat to 6.02., and it's nice and responsive. Then I'll log back into the old account, and it'll slow way down again. I've tried MSconfig, Ad-adware, Spybot Search and Destroy, a Full Virus Scan in Safe mode, updating all the hardware drivers, and nothing works. I can't even uninstall Acrobat in that account. It's just mind boggling. Thanks for any help.

What about in safe mode? Scan For Virus's, Maybe even upgrade your video card drivers.. see if that helps.. !

I ran AV scan in Safe mode, and it found nothing. I've also updated the Video Card Drivers. It's running a ATI 9100 Chipset. I put all the newest drivers on. I just created a separate account, and moved everything over, and now it works ok. I'm just wondering what would have caused the hang up. Spyware ? Virus ? startup item ?

You said that you can't "uninstall" it, but can't you just "reinstall" it?
