When I shut my computer down I see a message that a program attemted to start but could not because my system was shutting down. Looking at the system log, the program seems to be Dr. Watson. This started about 2 weeks ago when I loaded some Intuit Tax programs. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

The problem is probably not Dr. Watson, but some program which is crashing during shutdown which then causes Dr Watson to attempt to load... but it can't because Windows is shutting down.
You could try manually ending programs from Task Manager before shutting down to try to narrow it down a little. If there's any Intuit stuff running in the background, I'd target that first.
You could also try uninstalling Intuit, seeing if that makes a difference, then reinstalling again. If Intuit turns out to be the cause, check their site for support/patches.
