I am having some problems installing certain programs under Windows XP. Some programs such as MS Frontpage 2000 and Adobe Photoshop 6.0 do not autorun when first put in the CD drive. I tried to manually run the install file put nothing happens. I get no error messages at all. Some programs such as Mozilla 1.2 display a message saying it extracting the setup files but then nothing happens.
I am logged in as the administrator. I have install several other programs such as Ahead Nero 5, Office XP Pro, and Quicken 2000.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm a firm believer in running the 'Error Checking' progam 1st, when things dont act the way they should with programs.
Load The 'Help And Support Center' from your Start Menu and type "Error Checking" into the search field at the top left, and follow the instruction there on how to do the "Error Checking" routine.
Next, have you recently installed either new software, and or hardware?
